Duo Fled After Stealing Over $1K In Groceries From Lake Ronkonkoma Store: Police

Police say the suspects fled in a dark-colored sedan after stealing groceries from the Portion Road store.

Two people reportedly stole more than $1,000 in groceries from a Stop & Shop in Lake Ronkonkoma, according to police.

Suffolk County police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man and a woman who reportedly stole $1,100 worth of items from the supermarket at 449 Portion Road, around 9:20 p.m. on Sept. 20. They left in a dark-colored sedan.

Anyone with information about the theft can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, using the P3 Tips mobile app, or visiting www.P3Tips.com.
