Hauppauge HS Students Selected For LI String Festival Association
The students dedicated 10 hours of rehearsal time with their respective orchestras and performed in the LISFA concert on Jan. 12.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — Hauppauge High School students Nathan Fernandes and Tiana Yip were accepted into the prestigious Long Island String Festival Association, the school district announced.
Chosen from a pool of talented musicians throughout Suffolk County, Yip and Fernandes earned spots in the LISFA orchestra violin sections.
The students dedicated 10 hours of rehearsal time with their respective orchestras and performed in the LISFA concert on Jan. 12.

"Their hard work and dedication to their craft were evident in their outstanding performances," the school district stated.
