Hauppauge Middle School Students Battle It Out In Algebra Wars
The event featured top-performing students from two teachers' algebra classes who showcased their skills in a three-round challenge.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — Hauppauge Middle School’s eighth grade algebra students recently concluded their unit on systems with an exciting competition: Algebra Wars, the school district shared.
The event featured top-performing students from Scott Stahl and Karen DeMaio’s algebra classes who volunteered to compete, showcasing their skills in a fast-paced, three-round challenge.
Each round was worth six points for a total of 18 points. Each team worked independently, submitting one solution before moving on to the next round.

After the winners were announced, participants celebrated their hard work and success with a well- deserved pizza party.
