Hauppauge Residents Bring Home Championship Hockey Cup
The team represented by local players beat Pennsylvania for the State Wars Cup.
Hauppauge residents Dylan Francis and Alec Catalano took home the 2013 State War Champions New York 95A Division Cup from the United States Roller Hockey Association.
The Association holds an annual tournament called the State Wars, in which each state holds tryouts to form teams representing birth years 1995 - 2005 and junior/minors. The teams then compete in a round robin format, continuing onto quarterfinal, semi-final and final playoff games.
Francis and Catalano belong to Team NY 1995A , which won the Championship, beating Pennsylvania for the cup.
