Hotel Partners with Nonprofit to Fight Hunger

UPSKY Hotel helps raise awareness.

UPSKY Hotel in Hauppauge, formerly a Sheraton hotel, is doing its part to raise awareness of the hunger problem on Long Island by helping Island Harvest get the message out.

The hotel participated in an event that amassed 1,200 pounds of food for Hauppauge-based nonprofit Island Harvest. To raise awareness, it is also offering a free cinnamon bun to guests who wear orange or who mention Island Harvest at registration.

Island Harvest, one of Long Island's largest hunger relief agencies, collects and delivers crucial food supplies to more than 570 food pantries, soup kitchens and other nonprofit organizations on Long Island.
