Driver Loses Control Of Car, Crashes Into Pole, Then Lands In Pond In Setauket: Police
The man, 28, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.
SETAUKET, NY — A Smithtown man was taken to the hospital after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving, due to the weather conditions, and it struck a pole in Setauket early Sunday morning, Suffolk police said.
The man, 28, was driving a 2022 Nissan sedan westbound on Main Street when it crashed, struck a pole, and continued into a shallow pond at around 1 a.m., according to police.
He was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
