Jake's 58 Casino Hotel Expansion Breaks Ground; To Double In Size

The expansion will include hundreds of hotel rooms, a conference center, new restaurants, a sports grille, concert venue, VIP lounge, more.

ISLANDIA, NY — Jake's 58 Casino Hotel's expansion broke ground on Monday morning. The ceremony was scheduled for 11 a.m.

The $210 million, 300,000-square-foot expansion project will include hundreds of hotel rooms, a conference center, new restaurants, a sports grille and concert venue, a VIP lounge and exhibition hall, according to a news release.

The casino hotel anticipates tens of thousands of visitors will travel from across the nation once the expansion is complete.

The targeted opening date of the expanded casino floor is early 2026 with more amenities to follow, Suffolk OTB President and CEO Phil Boyle told Patch.

The project will employ more than 800 union construction workers and an additional 125 permanent jobs once the expansion is completed. Jake’s 58 will provide millions of dollars in additional funding to the NYS Education Department. Thousands of residents and tourists visit the casino each day, according to the Suffolk OTB.

Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine and the Suffolk County Legislature’s Presiding Officer Kevin McCaffery were set to join Phil Boyle, president and CEO of Suffolk OTB, for the ground-breaking ceremony.
