Here is a list of upcoming job fairs and employment workshops being held throughout the county.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — There are more than 17,000 job openings in Suffolk County posted online. The Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing and Consumer Affairs (SCDOLLCA ) is set to host a series of job fairs in September to help people find work, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced on Tuesday.
“As Suffolk County continues its post-COVID economic recovery, we are on track to host the largest total number of job fairs and career exploration events in nearly 10 years,” Bellone said. “Additionally, we are on track to have served the largest total number of job fair participants and with a diverse array of companies, representing in-demand hiring sectors there is no better time than now to attend a Suffolk County job fair.”
Employers regularly interview for job openings at the fairs and many hire on the spot, said Rosalie Drago, the SCDOLLCA commissioner. There are opportunities for people with high school diplomas, certificates, and degrees.
