Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?

Kuttin: Kuttin Wealth Management has been open in Hauppauge since 2018 and in Melville since 1994.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Kuttin: I watched my parents struggle with their finances throughout my childhood and it inspired me to help others achieve their financial goals.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Kuttin: Scaling my team and giving up control of certain aspects of the business to focus on the long-term vision of the firm.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Kuttin: Helping people succeed and prepare for the certainty of uncertainty.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Kuttin: We are one of the most recognized and decorated financial planning firms in the country as ranked by “Forbes” and “Barron’s” magazine.

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Kuttin: A truly great financial advisor has the heart of a social worker and the mind of a capitalist.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about? If so, what details can you share and what makes it so exciting?

Kuttin: Yes! I’m releasing a podcast within the next month or so called “Preparing for the Certainty of Uncertainty.” The aim for the podcast will be to help people address and understand how to better themselves and their financial situation through discipline and sound planning. I will be the first advisor at Ameriprise to offer this to their clients so I am very excited about it!

Patch: Do you have any events coming up in your community? If so, tell us about them.

Kuttin: We run virtual seminars every month to educate our clients and the community about certain topics. Most are not financial related. We plan to start offering dinner seminars in the future when the COVID-19 situation seems more under control.
