Lanes Closed After Crash On Long Island Expressway In Suffolk
Both drivers suffered injuries in the crash, police say. Three lanes were closed and traffic was heavily backed up.
ISLANDIA, NY — Three lanes were closed on the westbound Long Island Expressway in Islandia because of a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said.
Two vehicles collided on the westbound Long Island Expressway, near exit 57 — Veterans Memorial Highway — at 9:16 a.m., police said. Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals.
The road has since been cleared, according to 511 NY.
