Man Steals 80 Stuffed Animals From Hauppauge Store: Police

The stuffed animals were swiped from T.J. Maxx, police say.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man who, police said, stole merchandise from a Hauppauge store in June.

A man stole roughly 80 stuffed animals, valued at approximately $400, from out front of T.J. Maxx, at 371 Smithtown Bypass, at 2 p.m. June 30, police said. The man is wanted for petty larceny, police said.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
