Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Hauppauge Crash
The motorcyclist struck a Jeep while trying to go around the vehicle, police say.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a Jeep on Sunday in Hauppauge, Suffolk police said.
A 33-year-old Centereach man was driving a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound on Joshuas Path, near Stonehenge Lane, when he tried to make a right-hand turn into a parking lot and was struck by a 2016 Yamaha motorcycle attempting to go around the Jeep at 3:02 p.m., police said.
The motorcyclist, Peter Bueno, 33, of Brentwood, was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said. The Jeep driver was not injured, police said.
