What residents should know about today in town.

Good morning, Hauppauge. Here's a look at what's happening in town Wednesday.
Bloodfest
Getting poked with a needle may actually be fun today during a blood drive and barbecue event, hosted by Suffolk County Legis. John Kennedy.
The fourth annual Bloodfest will be held at the legislator's office, located at 725 Veterans Hwy., Hauppauge, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The day's event includes food, music and free New York Mets tickets for all blood donors.
Donors must be at least 16 years of age (with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and have had no new tattoos within the past year.Â
