Pedestrian Killed In Suffolk Crash: PD
The pedestrian was struck in the middle lane of the Long Island Expressway, police say.
HAUPPAUGE, NY — A pedestrian was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Hauppauge on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
A man in the roadway of the eastbound Long Island Expressway, near Exit 57, was struck in the middle lane by a 2014 Honda Civic, driven by a 37-year-old Southold woman around 9:40 p.m., police said.
The pedestrian, Jose Garcia Granados, 28, of Central Islip, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver was brought to a local hospital for evaluation. Her Honda was impounded for a safety check.
