Site Plans Approved In Hauppauge For Frozen Goods/Electronics Companies

Site plans for Voxx International and the incoming Glacier Point Enterprise were both approved by the Smithtown Town Board.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — The site plans of two Hauppauge businesses — one of them incoming — were approved by the Smithtown Town Board at its Dec. 13 meeting, according to the town.

Glacier Point Enterprise, a refrigerated/frozen goods distributor, is set to join Hauppauge at a property newly-owned by MTK 200 Crossways. The 20,043 square-foot industrial building at 380 Oser Ave. is slated for demolition following the town board's approval, Liam Trotta of the Smithtown Planning Department told Patch.

A two-story 29,555 square-foot building and 25,300 square-foot cellar would then be built for Glacier Point Enterprise to use for storage of refrigerated goods with a loading area and offices at the back of the building, according to Trotta. The site will hold a trucking station with approximately 24 designated stalls for refrigerated trucks.

Voxx International, an electronics company at 180 Marcus Boulevard, was granted approval for an extra 7,246 square-foot one-story building, as well as parking lot modifications, Trotta said. Voxx International will use the accessory building for light manufacturing and storage.
