Water-Main Break Shuts Down State Route 111 In Suffolk
Both directions of a part of Route 111 were closed because of the water-main break. One direction is still closed Tuesday morning.

HAUPPAUGE, NY — A water-main break on Monday caused all lanes to close in both directions on State Route 111 between Townline Road and Smithtown Bypass in Hauppauge, with the issue partly ongoing into Tuesday morning, according to 511 NY.
Crews from the Suffolk County Water Authority spent the night repairing the break. The water was turned back on around 6:20 a.m., but as of 9:30 a.m., Route 111 southbound is still closed.
The break was reported around 3:55 p.m. Monday.
