$867 A Month Studios Available In Downtown Brooklyn Lottery
Apartments in the 1 Flatbush Ave. development launched on the city's affordable housing lottery this week.

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN, NY — A batch of apartments — including studios renting at $867-a-month — inside an under-construction 19-story Downtown Brooklyn development were put up in the city's affordable housing lottery this week.
The lottery includes 37 studio to one-bedroom apartments inside the 1 Flatbush Ave. development that has a gym, rooftop and lounge, according to Housing Connect.
There are 21 studios available in the lottery for $867-a-month available to a person making between $31,612 to $43,860 a year, city records show. The lottery also includes 8 one-bedroom apartments for $931-a-month for a single person making between $33,875 to $43,860 or two people making $33,875 to $50,100.

Eight two-bedroom apartments are also up for grabs for $1,123-a-month for two-people making between $40,492 to $50,100, three people making $40,492 to $57,340 or four people making $40,492 to $62,580.
The deadline to submit applications is on July 11 and preference will be given to city workers and people who live in Community Board 2 already.

The 1 Flatbush Ave. development was announced in 2014 and will bring 157-units to the neighborhood with ground-floor retail, the Real Deal reported.
