BROOKLYN, NY — A 34-year-old woman walking down a Downtown Brooklyn street earlier this month was sucker-punched in the head, according to police.

Police said the unprovoked attack occurred around 10 a.m. in front of 1 Clinton Street, near the intersection of Cadman Plaza West and Tillary Street.

No words were exchanged between the woman and the attacker, and what led up to the assault remains unclear, according to police.

The 34-year-old woman was left with a broken tooth and swelling on the left side of her face, police said.

The NYPD released an image this weekend of the man wanted in connection to the attack.

According to authorities, he was last spotted wearing white headphones, a colorful skullcap, a black vest and jacket and dark green pants.
