2 Men Holding Gun, Attack Another Man On New Cassel Street: Police
One person is still at large for the Saturday night assault, police said.

NEW CASSEL, NY — Two men got out of their vehicle in New Cassel Saturday night with a gun, police said.
Just after 10 p. m., they approached a Hyundai near the intersection of Garland Lane and Maplewood Drive.
Luis Mario Matute, 20; and Carlos Matute, 42, pointed a black handgun as they approached the 29-year-old driver, police said.

They demanded that the victim exit his car. Once he was on the street, they began kicking and striking him, authorities said.
The victim was ultimately brought to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Carlos Matute was taken into custody a short time later. He was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree grand larceny, third-degree menacing, fourth-degree menacing and fourth-degree assault. He was scheduled to be arranged on Sunday.
Luis Mario Matute is still wanted, police said.
