2 Slashed At Nassau Deli; Attacker Loose

BREAKING: Police say two men were slashed in the face.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Two men were slashed following an argument inside a Hicksville deli and the attacker remains on the loose. A man walked up to three other men inside Broadway Deli around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and asked them for money. An argument ensued and continued outside, Nassau County police said.

At one point, one man pulled out a sharp object and slashed a 38-year-old man and 45-year-old man in the face, then ran north on Broadway.

The victims were rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The attacker is described as a white man in his mid-20s with a thin build. He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark sweatshirt, black hat and a red backpack.
