Billy Joel To Perform At Grammys Following First New Single In Decades
Joel's "Turn the Lights Back On" drops on Feb. 1.
LONG ISLAND, NY — Billy Joel fans have plenty to be excited about.
The Long Island native and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has a new single ready to drop.
"Turn the Lights Back On," his first song in decades, will be available for digital download and as a limited-edition 7-inch vinyl on Feb. 1.

Joel, who grew up in Hicksville, will also have a video to accompany the song on his YouTube channel.
The five-time Grammy Award winner asks in the song, "Did I wait too long… to turn the lights back on?"

Just three days after the single is released, Joel is slated to perform at the Grammys. It will be his first singing on the awards show in more than two decades when he performed "New York State of Mind" with Tony Bennett.
Joel previously announced his record-setting Madison Square Garden residency will come to a close on July 25 —his 150th concert.
