• Long Island school districts with positive lead tests: (news12.com) — Hicksville schools are on a new state list of Long Island districts with water samples testing above New York’s now-stricter lead limits, which dropped from 15 to 5 parts per billion. Dozens of Nassau and Suffolk districts are affected, triggering requirements for shutting contaminated taps, providing alternative water, and completing remediation and retesting.
