Drunken Driver Overturns In 4-Car New Cassel Crash: Police
The man and another driver were hospitalized for injuries following the Saturday night crash.

A Hempstead man was arrested for DWI after police say he was involved in a four-vehicle crash that caused his car to overturn on Saturday night.
Police responded to the intersection of Union Avenue and Linden Street to find a multi-vehicle crash with an overturned black 2013 Nissan driven by 71-year-old Ronald Tarry, who was cut from the driver's seat, at 8:50 p.m.
Tarry was found to have bloodshot eyes, be unsteady on his feet and have a strong odor of alcohol on his breath while being interviewed by authorities, police say.

He was placed under arrest and charged with DWI. He was then taken to a local hospital to be evaluated. Tarry will be arraigned when medically practical.
Another driver was taken to a local hospital to be treated for back and neck pain. The other two cars involved in the accident were parked.
