Firefighter Hospitalized Battling LI Bulding Fire: Police

HICKSVILLE, NY — Three firefighters were injured Monday night battling a blaze in Hicksville.

The Hicksville Fire Department, and several other departments, extinguished the flames at the Omega Auto Body on Jerusalem Avenue, police said.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention. Another firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital with an eye injury.

No other injuries were reported.

The cause is electrical and is not considered suspicious at this time, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
