Hicksville Residents Will Decide On Library Budget

The budget features a 2.75% tax increase which, the library says, is under the tax cap.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville residents will head to the ballot box on Tuesday, May 20. The proposed $5.2 million Hicksville Public Library 2025-2026 budget will be decided.

It's an increase of $140,000 from the previous year's budget.

The 2.75% tax increase is under the tax cap and adds less than $1 per month for the average household, according to the library's newsletter.

Voting takes place from 7 a.m. - 9 p.m. at the polling location. To take part in the election, you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, a resident of the Hicksville School District for at least 30 days and registered to vote in Nassau County or Hicksville School District Elections.
