Nassau US Food Worker Loses Part Of Arm In Machine: Cops
BREAKING: Police say workers at a neighboring business had to apply a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

HICKSVILLE, NY — Federal worker safety regulators are investigating after a Hicksville worker lost part of his arm Friday in a machinery accident.
A 28-year-old worker was operating a piece of machinery around 1 p.m. Friday at the U.S. Food Corp plant on Lauman Lane when his right arm became stuck in the machine, severing the limb below the elbow, Nassau County police said.
The worker ran next door to Energy Mechanical Corp seeking emergency help. Workers there immediately aided him, using a belt as a tourniquet to control much of the bleeding, police said.
