Holiday Toy Drive For Childhood Cancer Patients Hosted By Sarah Grace Foundation Of LI

HICKSVILLE, NY — The Sarah Grace Foundation is collecting gifts for childhood cancer patients this holiday season, the Hicksville-based charity announced.
"For many of the children we serve, the gifts The Sarah Grace Foundation can provide are the only ones they will receive," the foundation wrote. "Make 2023 their best holiday ever."
People can drop off toys at Ray Leventhal Clothing, at 335 S. Oyster Bay Road, Plainview. The store can be reached at 516-931-2500. All toys must be new and unwrapped. Stuffed toys cannot be accepted.

People can also support the toy drive online. The deadline is Dec. 10.
Several of the pediatric cancer centers the foundation serves have lost their donors and the families are in need for the holidays, according to the foundation.

Matt and Marissa Weippert founded the not-for-profit in memory of their daughter, Sarah Grace, who died of acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Nov. 9, 2002. She was 12. The charity is in its 20th year.
"Let's make this holiday the BEST EVER for a child with cancer," the charity wrote.
