Islanders Host Hockey Clinic For Youngsters In Bethpage
The "Learn to Play" clinic starts on Aug. 7 at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center.

BETHPAGE, NY — Young hockey fans can learn the basics at a clinic presented by the Islanders.
The "Learn to Play" clinic, for children ages 5-9, introduces the game to youngsters.
Taking place at the Town of Oyster Bay Ice Skating Center, it runs on Wednesdays from Aug. 7-Sept. 25.

With a registration price of $295, students receive full hockey equipment, including a jersey, stick, gloves, helmet, shoulder pads, shin guards and equipment bag and much more. Sessions will include special appearances by Isles alumni Arron Asham and Radek Martinek.
"This Future Islanders program, taught by former players and coaching staff from the New York Islanders organization, includes hands-on training skills and all necessary equipment in the early stages of learning hockey," said Councilman Lou Imbroto.

Enrollment is limited to 60 participants. Registration is now open.
