Man Arrested For Nassau Commercial Burglary Spree: PD

The man burglarized six businesses over a five-month span, police say.

A Hicksville man was arrested on Friday for a commercial burglary spree that occurred in Nassau County since July, police say.

According to authorities, 42-year-old Scott Gilmor was identified as the suspected burglar through video surveillance. Police say he forcefully entered the below businesses and stole money as well as various electronics:

  • July 29 at 6:11 a.m.— New York Barbell Fitness and Equipment, located at 37 17th St. in Jericho
  • Sept. 20 at 6:27 a.m.— Post Time Tavern, located at 892 Old Country Road in Westbury
  • Nov. 1 at 2:36 a.m.— The Old Country Food Market, located at 962 Old Country Road in Westbury
  • Nov. 1 at 4:06 a.m.— E Smoke Shop, located at 2174 Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow
  • Nov. 12 at 4:12 a.m.— Circle K Deli, located at 125 Bloomingdale Road in Hicksville
  • Dec. 7 at 3 a.m.— Ralph's Italian Ices, located at 633 Old Country Road in Plainview

Gilmore was arrested on Old Country Road in Westbury at 5:55 p.m. He was charged with six counts of third-degree burglary and was arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
