Man Falls 20 Feet Through Skylight At Clarke High School

The incident is under investigation.

A contracting worker fell 20 feet through a skylight at a high school in Westbury on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

According to authorities, a 40-year-old man was on the roof of W.T. Clarke High School, located at 740 Edgewood Drive, when he tripped and fell through the open skylight at 3:20 p.m.

The man, who was working for a contracting company, suffered trauma as well as lacerations to his face and torso, police say.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment by Nassau County Police Ambulance.
