Man Who Dragged Officer Behind Car Arrested: Nassau Police
Police say the man seriously injured an officer while fleeing a traffic stop last December.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Brooklyn man was arrested on Wednesday for dragging a police officer behind his car when he was fleeing a traffic stop last December, police said.
Police officers were in Hicksville on Dec. 9 when they saw a black Nissan Altima with Pennsylvania license plates commit multiple traffic infractions as it drove west on Old Country Road, police said.
The officers pulled the car over for a traffic stop. One officer asked for the driver's license and registration, but police say he refused to hand them over. When the officer asked for identification again, police said the driver sped off, hitting an officer in the foot and hand, and dragging him several feet.
