Masked Man Robs Hicksville Gas Station At Gunpoint

BREAKING: The robbery occurred on Thursday night.

A man wearing a blue face mask robbed a Hicksville gas station at gunpoint on Thursday night, police say.

According to authorities, the robber entered the Gulf Gas Station, located at 575 South Broadway, approached an employee while displaying a silver handgun and demanded cash at 9:40 p.m.

The 42-year-old male employee opened the cash register and the robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot north on South Broadway near Marvin Avenue, police say.

No injuries were reported and there were no customers in the store at the time of the robbery.

Police described the robber as Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, 160 pounds and wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored pants and dark-colored shoes.
