Multiplex Ends 30-Year Run In Hicksville

HICKSVILLE, NY — The curtain came down on a movie theater in Hicksville. The Showcase Cinema de Lux Broadway held its final screenings on Sunday.

The theater posted on Facebook last month that shutting was a "business decision."

It's been a mainstay for three decades at the mall, formerly known as Broadway Commons.

The company encouraged moviegoers to visit their multiplex in Farmingdale as they remain "committed to providing a superior moviegoing experience," the Facebook post said.
