Nassau Man Stabbed Another In Argument: Police
Police say the two were arguing in front of the man's house, when he pulled out a knife and stabbed the other person.
NEW CASSEL, NY — A New Cassel man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after Nassau County police say an argument between him and another man escalated to violence.
According to Nassau County police, 67-year-old Samuel Charles got into an argument with a 19-year-old man in front of his New Cassel home around 3:40 p.m. The argument escalated, and police say Charles pulled a knife out of his pocket and stabbed the man in the left arm.
Officers were called to the scene. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment. Charles was arrested without incident.

Charles is charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned later today in First District Court in Hempstead.
