New Cassel Resident Stabs Man Multiple Times: Police

The two men were involved in a dispute that turned violent on Friday morning, police say.

A New Cassel man is accused of stabbing a man multiple times with a kitchen knife on Friday morning.

According to authorities, 64-year-old Edward Judge was involved in a dispute that turned violent in his Brooklyn Avenue home with a 47-year-old man at 4:30 a.m. Judge at some point grabbed a kitchen knife and charged at the man, stabbing him multiple times, police say.

Authorities responded to the scene and transported both men to area hospitals for treatment.

Judge was arrested and charged with second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He will be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
