HICKSVILLE, NY — The Sarah Grace Foundation is set to host its annual Holiday Extravaganza Raffle for the month of November, the foundation said.

A $25 ticket gets each participant 30 chances to win gift certificates. The extravaganza funds the foundation's efforts to provide holiday toys, games, gift certificates and financial aid to help the families of children battling cancer through the holiday season.

People can purchase a ticket here.

"The annual Holiday Extravaganza raffle is an integral part of the Sarah Grace Mission," Matt Weippert, founder of The Sarah Grace Foundation, told Patch. "For 20 years we have been providing for children with cancer and their families on an all-volunteer basis and at Holiday time our work is, perhaps, the most important. Caring for a sick child and trying to fulfill that child's wishes for the holidays is extremely stressful for the family. Proceeds from our raffle allow the foundation to help fulfill the dreams of these children and help relieve that stress. For some families, the gifts received from The Sarah Grace Foundation are the only gifts the children will receive."

Only 300 tickets will be sold. Prizes will be mailed, and winners will be posted on the foundation's website. Each ticket will stay in the drawing for the entire month of November; even winning tickets.

Restaurant and merchant gift cards are up for grabs, including Applebee’s, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, ExxonMobil and more.

Matt and Marissa Weippert founded the not-for-profit in memory of their daughter, Sarah Grace, who died of acute lymphoblastic leukemia on Nov. 9, 2002. She was 12. The charity is in its 20th year.
