Victim Killed In Weekend Crash On Old Country Road Identified: Police
The 44-year-old was struck by a pick-up truck on Sunday evening, police said.
NEW CASSEL, NY — The victim of a weekend crash in New Cassel has been identified.
Juan Carlos Amaya Gutierrez,44, of Westbury, suffered severe trauma when he was struck by a pick-up truck as he walked on Old Country Road Sunday evening, police said. He died a short time later at an area hospital.
The 24-year-old driver remained at the scene. Police have not filed any charges against the driver.
