• Man Killed, Son Seriously Injured In Huntington Station House Fire: Police (patch.com) — A late-night house fire on Depot Road in Huntington Station killed 82-year-old resident Barry Garfman and left his adult son Dustin in serious condition, according to Suffolk County police. Multiple fire departments battled the blaze, and detectives are investigating, though authorities say it does not appear criminal at this time. The son was transferred from Huntington Hospital to Stony Brook University Hospital.
