• Holiday Mental Health Support in Tompkins County (tompkinsweekly.com) — If you’re struggling this holiday season, Tompkins County Whole Health is offering walk‑in mental health “Open Access Hours” at 201 E. Green Street in downtown Ithaca and scheduled appointments at its new 55 Brown Road office in Northeast Ithaca. The county also highlights 24/7 crisis lines, local overdose-prevention tools like free Narcan and test strips, and multiple treatment and recovery resources across Tompkins County.
   

• ICSD teachers' union overwhelming ratifies contract (ithacavoice.org) — Ithaca teachers have overwhelmingly ratified a three-year contract with the Ithaca City School District that now awaits a January board vote. The deal brings sizable annual raises, a new step-and-lane pay system, longer school days, expanded paid parental leave, and unchanged health benefits, following months of tense negotiations and strong community pressure.
   

• Planning Board advances West End workforce housing, obstacles remain (ithacavoice.org) — Ithaca’s Planning & Development Board advanced two major West End workforce housing projects but pushed for more design changes before final approvals, especially at The Citizen on West Buffalo Street. Members also conditionally approved a Meadow Street subdivision tied to adding bike racks and again rejected prominent signage for the large new Theory Ithaca apartment complex downtown.
