72-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Corona Car Crash

CORONA, QUEENS — A 72-year-old Corona man died Saturday after a driver struck him just blocks from the man's apartment, police said.

Gualberto Espin Delgado was crossing 108th Street near the Horace Harding Expressway about 8:20 a.m. when a 27-year-old driver heading north on 108th hit him, according to police.

Emergency responders rushed Espin Delgado to New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens, where he died.
