Man Choked, Dragged In Jackson Heights Mugging: NYPD

QUEENS, NY - A 39-year-old man was choked and dragged to the ground during an early morning robbery in Jackson Heights, authorities said.

The victim was standing near 92nd Street and Roosevelt Avenue about 4:30 a.m. on Nov. 1 when a pair of male attackers approached him from behind, police said.

One of the men placed the victim in a chokehold and dragged him to the ground before snatching the victim’s cell phone and wallet, police said.

The pair then fled northbound toward 37th Avenue, police said.

The victim didn’t report any physical injuries as a result of the mugging.

The first suspect was last seen wearing a black beanie, black jacket, black pants and gray sneakers. The second sought individual was last seen wearing a multicolored sweatshirt, blue jeans and black boots, police said.
