Elderly Woman Sexually Assaulted In Corona Home, Cops Say

CORONA, QUEENS — A 74-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Wednesday after a stranger got into her Corona apartment, reports say.

The woman had just gotten out of the shower about 12:45 a.m. when someone knocked on her apartment door, according to the New York Post.

She opened the door and a man barged in, hit her on the head with a bottle and sexually assaulted her, police told the Post. She went to Elmhurst Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

There are no arrests.
