Fire Breaks Out In Jackson Heights Grocery: FDNY

A fire burned through a Bangladeshi supermarket on 73rd Street in Jackson Heights early Friday morning. No injuries were reported.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — A fire burned through a grocery in Jackson Heights early Friday, according to the FDNY and video footage from witnesses.

The fire broke out just before 6 a.m. at a Bangladeshi supermarket at 37-16 73rd St., a spokesperson for the FDNY said.

A team of 60 firefighters got the blaze under control roughly an hour later, the spokesperson said.
