Car Bursts Into Flames After Smashing Into Jamaica Home: FDNY

The car severed a gas line, officials said.

JAMAICA, NY – A car crashed into a home, severed a gas line and burst into flames on Moline Street in Jamaica early Thursday, according to the FDNY. The house was unscathed by the blaze largely because it was made of brick which isn't flammable, officials said.

The crashed happened at 1:54 a.m. at 88-32 Moline St., near 89th Avenue.

The natural gas line that fed into the house was shut off by Con-Ed and there were no injuries, the FDNY said.
