Driver Struck, Dragged Pedestrian In Fatal Queens Crash: NYPD
A Jamaica man was cuffed after his Dodge Durango hit a 63-year-old woman in a Far Rockaway crosswalk and dragged her several feet, cops say.

FAR ROCKAWAY, QUEENS -- A Jamaica driver was arrested after he fatally struck a 63-year-0ld pedestrian in a Far Rockaway crosswalk and dragged her for "several feet" afterward, police said.
The crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday near the intersection of Beach 73 Street and Rockaway Beach Boulevard, cops said.
Officers arrived to find the woman, Valerie Razack, lying unconscious in the roadway. Medics rushed Razack to Saint John's Hospital, where she died.

A preliminary investigation found Peter Lopez, 40, was driving a 2009 Dodge Durango and trying to turn left onto Beach 73 Street when he hit Razack in the crosswalk and dragged her on the side of his car for "several feet," cops said.
Razack had been crossing Beach 73 Street with the pedestrian signal in her favor, police said.

Lopez was arrested at the scene and charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian and failure to exercise due care.
