Fire Rips Through St Albans Home, Kills 16-Year-Old Girl: NYPD

Another two women were seriously hurt.

JAMAICA, QUEENS – A 16-year old girl has been killed after fire ripped through her home on Merrick Boulevard in St. Albans. Another two women were taken out of the third floor apartment by firefighters and are being treated in the hospital, FDNY officials said.

Lamonies Smith was pronounced dead at the hospital. A 56-year-old was described as being in critical condition Wednesday night and a 76-year-old was in serious condition.

The fire broke out at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the address, near Roy Wilkins Park.
