Homeowner Stabs, Beats Burglar In Deadly Queens Break-In: NYPD

The man was stabbed and beaten with a bat after he was allegedly caught breaking into a Queens home early Monday morning, cops said.

ST. ALBANS, QUEENS -- A man suspected of trying to break into a Queens home is dead after one of the homeowners allegedly stabbed him and beat him with a baseball bat, police said.

Cops said two homeowners confronted the 26-year-old man on Monday at about 2:45 a.m. after he allegedly snuck into their home on Williamson Avenue in St. Albans.

One of the homeowners bashed the suspect's head with a baseball bat and stabbed him in the torso with a cutting instrument, authorities said.

Medics rushed the man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released.

An NYPD spokesman said it is unclear if the two homeowners would face charges.
