A 21-year-old man died in an apparent drive-by shooting in Laurelton on Monday afternoon.
LAURELTON, QUEENS — A 21-year-old man died in an apparent drive-by shooting in Laurelton on Monday afternoon.
Authorities found the man sitting in a white sedan by Springfield Boulevard and 140th Avenue with gunshot wounds in his chest and buttocks about 3:45 p.m., according to police and a New York Post report.
EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital, but he could not be saved.

A photograph of the car where police found the man, published by the New York Post, shows the door by the driver's seat riddled with bullet holes.
Investigators are exploring whether the victim was responsible for a robbery earlier that day and whether shooting may have been an effort by gang members to retaliate for the robbery, a police source told the Post.
