Pedestrian Critically Injured In Jamaica Hit-And-Run

Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who struck a man in Jamaica Wednesday evening, leaving him in critical condition.

JAMAICA, QUEENS — Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian in Jamaica Wednesday evening, leaving him in critical condition.

The 50-year-old man was crossing Liberty Avenue at 160th Street just after 8 p.m. when a driver heading east on Liberty hit him and drove off, a police spokesperson said.

The victim went into cardiac arrest and was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition, according to PIX11 News.

Police have not released a description of the vehicle involved. There are no arrests. The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
