Stop & Shop today cut the ribbon at its newly remodeled Ozone Park store located at 92-10 Atlantic Avenue. The ceremony was attended by Stop & Shop leadership, as well as Assemblywomen Jenifer Rajkumar and Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Junior. Ozone Park is the third Stop & Shop in Queens to be upgraded as part of the supermarket chain’s $140 million capital investment across its New York City fleet. The store joins the Glendale and Maspeth locations in offering customers a refreshed look, upgraded format and new amenities that seek to enhance the customer shopping experience and better meet the needs of the diverse neighbors its serves.

At the heart of Stop & Shop’s enhancements to its NYC stores is an expanded product assortment that caters to each store’s diverse neighborhood. Ozone Park customers will see that aisles 4,5,6,7 and 8 are now a ‘Global Market’ - a multicultural destination boasting Dominican, Puerto Rican, Caribbean, Latin, and Central and South American products. The store has also expanded its produce offerings to include more tropical fruits and vegetables. There are also now 14 doors of frozen ethnic products, along with expanded Halal dairy and meat, both fresh and frozen. In total, nearly 2,000 new multicultural products have been added across the store.
